First time in SLC, and we were looking for seafood. A couple of people recommended this spot. The restaurant is large, with an open kitchen and a mix of booth, table, and counter seating. When we first walked in, there was a strong fish odor — yes, it’s a seafood restaurant, but it was stronger than I usually encounter. We were greeted by a very friendly host and seated right away. We had reservations, but they didn’t seem necessary, as the place was quiet with only a few other tables. We started with waters, a bottle of white wine, and an appetizer of calamari. The portion was generous, with a nice mix of rings and baby squid, and the marinara sauce was tasty. For entrées, we ordered the Salmon, Trout, Caesar Salad, and the Wild Mushroom Halibut (a special). While we waited, they brought out bread and butter. Each entrée came with a choice of salad or clam chowder. The salads were standard, but the chowder was very good — lots of clams, thick, and flavorful. The portion was quite large, so I didn’t finish it in order to save room for my meal. The entrées arrived hot and in good portions. The Halibut was good, though not outstanding; the mushroom ragout was a bit bland and slightly too salty, while the polenta was decent. The other dishes were fine, but none of the guests were especially enthusiastic. We saved room for dessert and shared the Raspberry Almond Torte, Midnight Chocolate Cake, and Sabayon. All three were very good — an excellent finish to the meal. Service throughout the evening was very good: attentive without being overbearing. We lingered until after closing (they closed at 9:00, and we finished around 9:20), and the staff was patient as they cleaned up around us. Overall, it was a good meal with solid service, but it didn’t make our “can’t wait to come back” list.

We came here for our first Sunday brunch ever. Taylor was our server, and he was very attentive and spot on with our service. The food was very good. They brought us a cinnamon roll first, and it was delicious. The coffee was very good and smooth. Our main courses were both very tasty and unique. I highly recommend coming here for a delicious brunch experience.

Authentic atmosphere; very friendly. A big observation we made was the wide age range of their employees. I feel this added a warmth and delightful atmosphere to the establishment. Our waiter was ‘GUS’. By far the nicest person we met on this six day trip in Salt Lake City. An older gentleman but could outwork any 30 year old. Every employee I saw was hustling around with a purpose and they seemed to be happy to be working in this restaurant. Kudos to the owners, you definitely are doing something right.

We had an amazing experience thanks to our waiter, Johnny! It was our first time dining at Market Street, and he made us feel so welcome from the start. He was friendly, attentive, and took the time to walk us through the menu and recommend some great dishes (like the Clam Chowder). The service was excellent, and we truly appreciated how taken care of we felt. We would absolutely ask for him again on our next visit!

We ordered the fish and chips and mushroom risotto. Both came with a bowl of clam chowder soup. The chowder is a big serving, so consider this before ordering a bunch of appetizers. I ordered crab cakes first, then got the bowl of soup…I was stuffed by the time I got my entree. Pace yourself :) Our waiter was very nice and funny. Enjoyed our dinner.

I’m very happy that i pick this restaurant. I love their exterior design because it likes lighthouse and very unique. Interior design look very stunning; it feel romantic and relaxing place to be at. I thought it was cool to see open kitchen area to watch these excellent Chef cook wonderful foods. I did enjoy watching it for awhile. I order Rainbow Trout with citrus jasmine rice, tart sauce, vegetable and soup which is Clam Chowder. OOOOMMGGGG!!! Their Clam Chowder soup was the BEST and WAY BETTER THAN NEW CLAM CHOWDER. Sorry East Coast. It was a totally grand slam and YOU MUST TRY IT! I mean Im from Midwest USA and I have family from East Coast. I have been eating New England Clam Chowder soup, but Market street grill Clam Chowder soup is best and i don’t think anyone will match up to their soup taste. I love my rainbow trout and other side foods. It was so yummy. Just right amount of cook and texture. My waitress name Audrey. She was amazing person and love her personality. Audrey was very professional and easy to talk to. She did awesome job! Also, she is very cute. I will comeback here again when i get a chance. Recommend anybody to come here to enjoy their meals.
